SnoScape draws from high-resolution data stored in the County's geographic information system (GIS) to assist citizens with property development. Locating important landscape features more precisely helps save time and money in the permitting and development process. Please read the following instructions carefully. Available information: |
The interactive map shows information about the developed and natural landscape in Snohomish County.
The map is organized into layers that can be turned on or off as needed for improved viewing.
Map layers include:
SnoScape is provided by Snohomish County as a customer-service tool for information purposes only. The program has no regulatory application. About SnoScape data These maps are not surveys, nor an instrument to make definitive determinations. Information has been compiled from multiple sources including high-resolution aerial laser scanning and field observations by County biologists. All geographic data used to create these maps have spatial uncertainties. You must agree to the terms of the disclaimer before using SnoScape. |
Map Navigation: |
Choices listed on the green toolbar on the left side of the screen determine what happens when you click on the
map. For example, if you click on the word "Zoom In"
on the green toolbar, you can zoom in by clicking on the map. Hint:
You can control how close you zoom-in. Click-and-hold the mouse button, then move your mouse to draw a
box on the map. A new map of the area inside the box will be drawn.

Wait for the map to finish: |
Drawing a map on your browser can take several seconds. The map
must finish drawing before the next click will be accepted. |
View the Aerial Photo: |
Several map layers are listed on the lower-left side of the screen, including color aerial photographs. Use the check box next to a layer to turn it on/off as desired.
The color aerial photos were taken on the 1st and 2nd of June, 2007. |
Browser compatibility: |
A recent browser (Firefox, Netscape 4.5+, Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater) is recommended to view the interactive map.
In general, your browser must not block pop-up (new) windows, must show pictures, enable JavaScript, and be able to send unencrypted information (form data) over the Internet. Refer to Snohomish County's browser compatibility and web site availability information. |

Some computer settings can prevent SnoScape from working correctly. If you are still experiencing technical problems, feel free to contact the Website Coordinator with questions or suggestions.

Bookmark / Favorites: |
For quick access to SnoScape, add this page to
your favorites or bookmark list. Bookmarks to the interactive map directly may not work correctly. |
Printing a Map: |
For best results, choose 'Print Map' from the list of choices, located on the left side of the map.
A new window with a map, legend, and title, suitable for printing will be displayed.
Printing directly from the interactive map window is not recommended and may print multiple pages (one for each frame), depending on your browser settings. |
