No Shooting Areas
No Shooting Areas throughout unincorporated Snohomish County, WA are approved by the County Council. There are limited areas open to shotgun only during hunting seasons. Citizens and law enforcement agencies refer to the No Shooting Areas map found on the County's web site (https://snohomishcountywa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/265/No-Shooting-Area-Map-PDF). Additionally, State and Federal regulations prohibit the discharge of firearms in places such as parks, schools, gravel pits, camp grounds, buildings, roads, utilities, urban areas, and other features.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Chapter 10.12 of the Snohomish County Code provides more information on "No Shooting Areas", including the described areas as approved by Council. Besides high powered Firearms, the Code also cites prohibitive discharges from a b-b gun, pellet gun, sling or sling-shot. Refer to other Municipal, State and Federal regulations per jurisdiction, such as WAC 352-32-120, WAC 352-32-121, WAC 332-52-145, and USFS (Federal), 36 C.F.R § 261.10(d)(1).</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>

The Assessor's Cadastral Parcel Feature Class is a reference layer, which independently undergoes constant adjustments.
PDS provided a service for the Council to interpret spatial boundaries, draft legal descriptions for No Shooting Areas, and produce a map product. The Council Amended SCC 10.12 this section of the Code, (Added by Amended Ord. 91-077 § 9, June 5, 1991). In 2021, DoIT took over the task to provide this service for the Council, Sheriff, of Snohomish County, WA.
