<idPurp>Back in 1989, vis-a-vis WA State regulatory means, Snohomish County formulated a dedicated committee to study, propose, and approve the Critical Water Supply Service Area, also known as the "Coordinated Water System Plan (CWSP)". The CWSP specifically provides plans for the provision of public water supply in the North Snohomish County area.</idPurp>
<idAbs>

More information about the CWSP may be found in the CWSP entitled "North Snohomish County Coordinated Water System Plan", December 2010, Presented by the Snohomish County Water Utility Coordinating Committee, found at:

https://www.snohomishcountywa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/8619/Coordinated-Water-System-Plan-CWSP?bidId=

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WAC, Chapter 248-56; WATER SYSTEM COORDINATION ACT—PROCEDURAL REGULATIONS
RCW, Chapter 70.116 RCW Dispositions; PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM COORDINATION ACT OF 1977
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

RCW 70A.100.030

Definitions.

(1) "Coordinated water system plan" means a plan for public water systems within a critical water supply service area which identifies the present and future needs of the systems and sets forth means for meeting those needs in the most efficient manner possible. Such a plan shall include provisions for subsequently updating the plan.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another insightful GIS dataset called "Drinking Water Service Areas", as maintained by the WA- Department of Health on the WA State Open Data Portal, found at:
https://geo.wa.gov/datasets/WADOH::drinking-water-service-areas/about
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Snohomish County produced a CWSP map of the depicting both the Critical Water Supply Service Area and the known/verified Drinking Water Service Areas, found at:

https://www.snoco.org/v1/services/Docs/SCD/PDF/PDS_Water/CWSP_North_Snohomish_County_2016update.pdf

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
</idAbs>
