Service Description: The "PCRec_Zoning_20240109.SHP" layer was derived by adding and replacing the the Planning Commission's recommendations over the existing SnoCo Zoning layer on January 9th, 2024. Of the 2.742 total polygon features, there are 317 features for zoning change as recommended. These features are flagged with the field where [PCRec] = "Yes". All the other existing polygons were the most recent zoning designations on that day.

Description: <div style=''><div><div><p><span>Zoning establishes which type of land-uses are permitted, prohibited, or require special approvals in accordance with the Snohomish County Code (Title 30 - Unified Development Code). Legal mandates describe the administration of development regulations. The permitting process proceeds with permit intake, notice, review, record keeping, public disclosure, code compliance, determinations, and issuance upon fulfillment of legal requirements. Construction Inspections of buildings, drainage improvements, grading, infrastructure, utilities, and critical areas ensures that development projects act in accordance with permit approval. Code Enforcement processes address the adherence of codes and regulations. Development regulations are comprised of local, County, State, and Federal regulations and statutes. A few key pieces of legislation include the Snohomish County Code, Growth Management Act, Shoreline Management Act, Clean Water Act, State Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, Flood Hazard Regulations, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, and the County's critical areas ordinances.</span></p><p><span>The Zoning Geo-Datasets for Snohomish County, WA are a generalized representation of county zoning ordinances. The official county zoning maps are on file at the Public Service Counter within the Snohomish County Department of Planning and Development Services, second floor, County Administration East (Drewell) Building, 3000 Rockefeller, Everett, Washington. For more information, call (425) 388-3311. We strongly recommend that you verify the information contained on those official county zoning maps prior to initiating any development activity. These datasets are a graphic representation derived from the Snohomish County Geographic Information System. It does not represent survey accuracy.
