Description: This dataset represents the location of site structure address points (SSAPs) for officially and unofficially addressed buildings and similar structures in Snohomish County for use in the Washington State Next Generation 911 Program that could be reported to 911 for the purpose of emergency call routing. SSAPs follow the NENA RCL GIS data model and are provided to the Washington State NG911 program on a monthly basis and to Snohomish County Public Safety Answering Points on request. Any other use of these data are not directly supported by Snohomish County. These data are updated weekly from address notifications sent from partner jurisdictions, Snohomish County PDS, reports from field crews, SNO911 dispatcher comments, UAS flights conducted by EESCS and other verified data sources. SSAPs are typically placed over the center of a building but may be moved closer to an adjacent road centerline as needed for proper routing of emergency crews. SSAPs were originally generated via parcel centroids and unless moved remain there. New SSAPs are placed according to approved site plans and may occasionally differ from final physical placement. For addresses containing multiple sub-addresses (EX two units or apartments sharing a common address), a point is created for each sub-address AND a separate point containing no sub address information. Examples of unofficially addressed locations include legacy addresses that may still be commonly reported by 911 callers, temporary construction sites, unapproved ADUs, or similar temporary housing or shelter with self-reported addressing. Such SSAPs are included in these data for the express purpose of routing emergency services to the reported location, regardless of true address. As such, SSAPs will periodically contain erroneous data by design. In some cases, SSAPs in new developments may appear in data before the roadway is completed. For a detailed description of all fields please refer to the NENA NG911 data model: https://www.nena.org/page/ng911gisdatamodel

Description: The Parcels data set is a thematic layer depicting current real property parcel boundaries within Snohomish County, Washington based on the legal descriptions contained in the assessment roll. Parcels in this data set are defined as real property entities that can be valued for the purpose of collecting taxes. Parcels include, but are not limited to land, buildings on leased land, mobile homes and condominium units. Parcels may overlap. Parcels such as condominium units and mobile homes that may occupy a single polygon are represented as non-planar features (regions) of the same geographic extent. The Parcels data set does not depict legal ownership boundaries nor does it represent legal building lots. Snohomish County does not maintain parcels for the complete geographic coverage of the county. There is no parcel fabric in much of the eastern mountainous area.

Description: This data set is a compilation of tax code area boundaries in Snohomish County, Washington. Tax code areas are formed from a composite of special purpose district boundaries such as cities, fire districts, school districts, etc. Tax code areas represent areas with a uniform tax (levy) rate for that area. The boundaries of the present data set are compiled from data sets for many of the taxing districts that were compiled from legal descriptions for each annexation from the original incorporation onward. Legal descriptions were interpreted without assumption of intent or bias from any pre-existing maps. Spatial registration conforms to features in the Snohomish County parcel data set. For areas where special purpose district boundaries have not been converted, the boundaries were taken from a manually maintained atlas.

Description: The streets feature class was originally based on the TIGER file street network from the US Census. The line features represent the street centerlines of public, private, named, and some unamed roads in Snohomish County. The feature class can be used to represent the County road network and contains address ranges for geocoding. The streets featureclass geometry and address ranges are updated on an as needed basis using orthophotography, Assessor parcels, Public Works asset inventorty, E911, user corrections, and various other sources.Coded Attributes:MAJRD_TYPE - Road hierarchy for mapping1 - Freeways and Limited Access Highways2 - Principal Arterials3 - Minor Arterials, Major collectors4 - Collectors, Minor collectors9 - Freeway RampsROUTENUM - Interstate or State Route numberONEWAY - Indicates oneway street directionF - Oneway with arc directionT - Oneway against arc directionN - No travel either directionSOURCE - Data source for update or additionA - PW Asset DataI - Inventory TeamP - OrthophotoR - Parcel ROWO - OtherM - MX7 and TridentGeographic Extent: Snohomish CountyUpdate Frequency: As neededLast Updated: 08/2024Contact: GIS@snoco.org

Description: This dataset includes wetlands surveyed and mapped as part of the following projects: PDS County Stream and Wetlands Survey (1986), and the PW/SWM Drainage Needs Report completed in 2002.Snohomish County initiated the Drainage Needs Report (DNR) Program in 2000 as 'a comprehensive, two year program to assess impacts from surface water runoff in urban Snohomish County and develop a list of construction and acquisition projects that solve drainage problems, improve salmon habitat, improve water quality and predict the impacts of development. This dataset contains polygons that represent the basic wetlands categories used in the Snohomish County Stream and Wetlands Survey. The original Wetlands information was compiled in 8-86 from field studies conducted by Snohomish County Biologists. These polygons were created through Heads-up digitizing a scanned image of the original hard-copy (Mylar) maps. The sections were registered to the survey control points used in the Integrated Land Records database. Stream information was not included at this time, as funding was provided only for wetland conversion. Original scanned images exist as well as the initial registered images, which may be used for future conversion of the non-converted data.QAQC standards were developed to meet designations defined by the Buildable Lands Fund. Some polygons were moved where they intersected with existing right-of-ways upon initial creation of the wetland atlas in 1986.Wetland locations in the dataset are approximate. All wetland areas within this dataset should be surveyed before land use changes are made.

Description: This data set represents the extent, approximate location and type of wetlands and deepwater habitats in the United States and its Territories. These data delineate the areal extent of wetlands and surface waters as defined by Cowardin et al. (1979). The National Wetlands Inventory - Version 2, Surface Waters and Wetlands Inventory was derived by retaining the wetland and deepwater polygons that compose the NWI digital wetlands spatial data layer and reintroducing any linear wetland or surface water features that were orphaned from the original NWI hard copy maps by converting them to narrow polygonal features. Additionally, the data are supplemented with hydrography data, buffered to become polygonal features, as a secondary source for any single-line stream features not mapped by the NWI and to complete segmented connections. Wetland mapping conducted in WA, OR, CA, NV and ID after 2012 and most other projects mapped after 2015 were mapped to include all surface water features and are not derived data. The linear hydrography dataset used to derive Version 2 was the U.S. Geological Survey's National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). Specific information on the NHD version used to derive Version 2 and where Version 2 was mapped can be found in the 'comments' field of the Wetlands_Project_Metadata feature class. Certain wetland habitats are excluded from the National mapping program because of the limitations of aerial imagery as the primary data source used to detect wetlands. These habitats include seagrasses or submerged aquatic vegetation that are found in the intertidal and subtidal zones of estuaries and near shore coastal waters. Some deepwater reef communities (coral or tuberficid worm reefs) have also been excluded from the inventory. These habitats, because of their depth, go undetected by aerial imagery. By policy, the Service also excludes certain types of "farmed wetlands" as may be defined by the Food Security Act or that do not coincide with the Cowardin et al. definition. Contact the Service's Regional Wetland Coordinator for additional information on what types of farmed wetlands are included on wetland maps. This dataset should be used in conjunction with the Wetlands_Project_Metadata layer, which contains project specific wetlands mapping procedures and information on dates, scales and emulsion of imagery used to map the wetlands within specific project boundaries.
