LiDAR DEM is one of the most critical input data for the wetland model and was a compilation of multiple LiDAR sources collected in multiple years ranging from 2003 to 2006. The accuracy of LiDAR for some areas has known to be problematic, so does the final wetland products. The precise location of the wetland boundary must be determined by a site visit by a wetland biologist. </SPAN></SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |

Emergent and scrub/shrub wetlands can come from either high resolution satellite imagery alone or remote sensing-based model. Since high resolution satellite imagery was taken from July 31, 2007 </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>–</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN>September 5, 2007, ground condition in that time span affected wetland model. Therefore, caution should be taken in agricultural land as there were various agricultural practices performed and ground condition was dry during the imaging time span. Wetlands at/near the subbasin boundary area are subject to having errors since the wetness index was developed by subbasin. There are few areas with cloud cover in the satellite imagery used for developing the land cover data. Wetlands under cloud cover deem to have error. In conclusion, Snohomish County wetland data may be useful for planning purposes but not for site-specific analysis.</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>All maps, data, and information set forth herein (“Data”), are for illustrative purposes only and are not to be considered an official citation to, or representation of, the Snohomish County Code.
