Service Description: <div>This map service publishes the Washington Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) as mapped in 2019 by WA State Dept. of Natural Resources - Wildfire and Forest Health & Resiliency divisions under consultation from the USFS Rocky Mtn Research Station, clipped to Snohomish County boundaries. WDNR was required by ESSB 6109 to map the WUI in Washington state for the purpose of county-based building code adoptions. The WUI depicts areas of Washington where structures and wildland meet or intermingle. Please note that specific structure densities and wildland cover are necessary to meet the definitions for Washington State's WUI.
