Description: The Snohomish County Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Surface Water Management Division (County) tasked Watershed Science and Engineering to characterize current hydraulic conditions along the Stillaguamish River and assess the impacts of projected climate change on flood depths and inundation extents across the floodplain. The study area included approximately 18 miles of the mainstem Stillaguamish River from its mouth near Port Susan to the confluence of the North and South Forks near Arlington, approximately 35 miles of the North Fork Stillaguamish River from the confluence to a location colloquially called “River’s End”, and approximately 5 miles of the South Fork Stillaguamish River from the confluence to Rivers Meadows County Park.
