Service Description: This map service includes two datasets that are intended to represent erosion-related geohazards in Snohomish County. <div><br /></div><div>Channel Migration Zone Segments: represents segments of water courses in Snohomish County that are associated with channel migration zones (CMZ). More information on Channel Migration Zones is available at Snohomish County Code <a href='https://snohomish.county.codes/SCC/30.62B.330' target='_blank'>30.62B.330</a>.</div><div><br /></div><div>Littoral Drift: also known as shore drift, littoral drift is the process by which beach sediment is moved along the shoreline. Drift results primarily from the oblique approach of wind-generated waves and can therefore change in response to short-term (daily, weekly, or seasonally) shifts in wind direction. </div>
